SECTION 1 OF 9 Race basics

Saving as you type

Race basics

Exactly as registered with your election authority. This appears in the legal line on every page of your site.

Several states — Maryland among them — require the treasurer's name in the authority line on campaign material. If your state does and we don't have this, we'll ask before your site goes live.

Public email shown on the site — separate from your billing email.

Site setup

The election you're running in and when. Helps us frame your dates and countdown copy.

Your site launches at yourname.votegtr.com. If you own or want a custom domain later, tell us here.

Your designs keep their core look; this tunes accents.

Upload your campaign logo if you have one. No logo? We'll use a clean wordmark of your name.

Photos

Upload as many as you have — at work, in the community, with family, candids. More photos = a better site. One good headshot is the floor.

The more real, candid shots of you with people — knocking doors, at events, talking with neighbors — the more authentic your site looks. We always use your real photos first; we only generate imagery to fill what you don't give us.

Used as the main hero image. Vertical or square works best. Upload one or several.

Used on the bio page and "About" sections. Upload one or several.

Upload one or several. Used to humanize the candidate on the site.

Anything else — volunteering, rallies, with constituents, on the trail. Upload as many as you have.

About you

Answer like you're talking to a neighbor. Specifics beat slogans — names, places, and real stories give us what we need to write your bio well.

Top 3 campaign priorities

Each becomes a section on your Issues page. Tell us what's wrong AND what you'd do — the more specific, the stronger the page.

Your race & district

We fact-check claims about opponents before anything is published.

We link these in your site footer.

For candidates with a record; we verify. Up to 3.

Anything else?
Donations & ballot

Comma-separated, lowest first. Leave blank and we'll use a standard ladder for your race. A rung people can actually afford is worth more than a big number nobody clicks.

Concrete beats sweeping. We will not write "every dollar goes directly to..." — that is a claim we cannot verify and it reads as boilerplate.

Most candidates leave this off.

Endorsements, events & credentials

All optional. Add what you have — endorsements, upcoming events, and short credentials each become content on your site.

Who's backing you. Up to 4.

Town halls, meet-and-greets, fundraisers. Up to 3.

Short labels — service, jobs, roles. Up to 6.
